One step at a time

The ice here in Kentucky finally melted, and that’s made it easier to get back to work. No more slipping around in my backyard, no more leaving the faucets on drip, or worrying about power outages. The dogs are calmer now too. Longer walks, less cabin fever, fewer dramatic sighs while I stare at the screen. A tired dog is a good dog.

tid and Kanbase are basically ready, but "basically" is a trickster of a word. When you start using your own apps, the little bugs and issues reveal themselves everywhere. I’d like to think most users wouldn’t notice them, but they’re there and have to get fixed. This work can get overwhelming fast.

What helps me during these times, and whenever I’m feeling stuck, is setting short-term milestones. That is, to focus on what I can do right now, and just keep moving forward. The hard stuff usually sorts itself out if you keep taking small, deliberate steps. It’s a lesson that’s helped me countless times.

So as the winter loosens its grip, I’m back at it full-time. Excited to show you what I’ve been working on and continue making progress, one step at a time.
