It’s been 3.5 years since minimarks launched on Product Hunt and became #3 Product of the Day. That was a dream come true and somehow feels like yesterday. That moment, and the months leading up to it, changed everything. I realized, after countless failures, that it was possible to build a product people cared about. Since then, I’ve relocated to the Kentucky countryside, adopted a 3rd dog (a rescue puppy named Willow), ended an 8-year relationship, and began working day and night on Bitzag.

For as long as I can remember, my dream has been to create something that matters and do it full-time. The lessons learned along the way are many, and as I continue to make progress, it’s become clear that the journey is what it’s all about, with its ups and downs, paved with mistakes and corrections. That’s life to me.

The overwhelming support users showed when minimarks launched on AppSumo, and in the years that followed, meant everything to me. Truly. Ever since, I’ve wanted to share more with you all, but the timing never felt right. Last year was spent coding—sometimes 16+ hours a day—and pushing through fatigue, lack of sleep, and bouts of depression.
