I’ve had my iPhone 13 mini for a few years now and I’m never giving it up. It’s the ideal phone and in this blog I’ll be sharing why I think it’s the only phone that makes sense right now.

Size

It fits in my hand. It fits in my pocket. It’s an on-the-go type of phone. It does everything a bigger phone can do, but in a smaller form factor. It’s smaller screen doesn’t stop me from doom scrolling to my hearts content into the early hours of the morning. Good things come in small packages.

Scarcity

You cannot get this phone anymore. The powers that be refuse to make a new iPhone mini. Due to lack of popular demand? Maybe. But this is another reason I cherish my iPhone 13. You simply cannot replace it. In fact the new phone just keep getting bigger and bigger.

History

I got caught in the rain in the dark on a hike with my old iPhone. I believe it was an iPhone 7. It got completely waterlogged and the screen stopped working. Sadly it had to be retired, but when one door closes a window opens and the iPhone 13 mini came into my life. This smaller phone was the compact companion I was waiting for.

Comparison

I also am a large screen enjoyer. I have an iPad and AirPad for that. But for something that is on-the-go with you, the iPhone 13 mini is the ideal choice. Something that fits in the palm of your hand or in a pocket makes it the ultimate utility phone. Save the big screens for home, the iPhone 13 is all you really need.

Conclusion

The iPhone 13 mini isn’t just a phone, it’s a conscious choice to live smaller. Every year a newer bigger phone promises higher resolution and a bigger payoff but at what cost? Lugging around a brick all the time doesn’t make sense and it’s a trade off I’m not willing to make. The iPhone 13 mini suits me and I hope it lives a long life by my side.
