Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 8, 2026
This policy explains what personal information tid collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. tid is operated by Bitzag LLC.
We try to collect as little as possible. We don't sell your data, we don't run third-party ads, and we don't share your content with anyone except as described below.
What we collect
When you sign up: your name, email address, and a password (stored hashed, never in plain text). You can optionally add a username, avatar, blog title, banner image, and timezone.
When you publish: the post text, any images you upload, your draft history, scheduled-post times, and basic metadata (created/updated timestamps).
Automatically: your IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URLs, and time spent — for analytics, security, and abuse prevention. We also store cookies on your device (see our Cookie Policy).
If you subscribe to Pro: your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID. We never see or store your card details — Stripe handles all payment information directly.
How we use your data
- To run tid: serve your blog, store your posts, send your followers' digests
- To send transactional email: account verification, password resets, payment receipts, post-comment notifications
- To moderate content: an automated system scores posts for quality and flags violations (see Community Guidelines)
- To improve tid: aggregated, non-identifying usage analytics
- To prevent abuse: rate-limiting, fraud detection, security investigations
- To comply with the law when required
We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties. Ever.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of vetted third-party services to operate tid. Each only receives the minimum data needed:
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy
- MailerSend — transactional email delivery. MailerSend's privacy policy
- Google Analytics — aggregated usage stats on marketing pages only (not on your blog or the app). You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on
- Vultr — server hosting infrastructure
- ClouDNS — DNS provider
We may also disclose data when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect tid, our users, or the public from harm.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we soft-delete your content immediately and purge it permanently within 30 days. We may keep limited records longer where required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and abuse monitoring.
International data transfers
tid is operated from the United States, and our servers are located there. If you access tid from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your country. By using tid, you consent to this transfer.
Security
We use HTTPS for all connections, hash passwords with bcrypt, store the database on isolated servers behind a firewall, and run automated backups. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data. If we detect a breach affecting your personal information, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities within 72 hours.
Your rights
You can:
- Access your data — most of it is visible directly in your Account and Setup pages
- Correct inaccurate information — edit it in your Account page
- Delete your account and content — Account → Delete account
- Export your posts — email support@tid.so for a JSON export
- Object to or restrict processing — email us

Children's privacy
tid is not intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll remove the account.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice. Continuing to use tid after a change means you accept it.
