tid is an indie social blogging platform where you can start a blog in seconds and share what’s on your mind.

It’s short for tidbit. Posts can be short or long… Anything goes 😉

Yes. You can create a blog and publish for free, forever. No tricks. No bait-and-switch. We offer a Pro plan if you want additional, optional features (such as longer posts).

Our free plan comes with everything you need to create your blog and start writing (up to 600 words and 1 image per post). You can upgrade to the Pro plan to unlock longer posts (up to 4,800 words), more images (up to 10 per post), scheduled posts, pages, menus, and redirects.

Redirects are short links powered by tid. You pick a slug, point it to any URL, and tid.so/your-slug will redirect there. It’s a built-in link shortener. Redirects are a Pro feature.

tid uses a simple plain-text editor with basic Markdown for formatting. You can also use slash commands and the handy buttons above the editor if you’d rather click than remember syntax.

Absolutely! You can change your blog’s background, link, and button colors, and add a header image. With tid Pro, you can create custom pages and set one as your homepage, which replaces the default blog feed. You can also add pages to your navigation menu. More personalization options are on the way.

Yes. What you write is yours — you’re never locked in.

No. We don’t sell your data — ever. Your information stays private and is only used to operate and improve tid. Check out our Privacy Policy for more details.

Custom domains aren’t supported right now. If this is something you’d like, let us know — we listen to feedback.

Yes, every blog on tid has an RSS feed. You can subscribe to any blog using your favorite RSS reader.

Yes! You can follow any blog on tid and see their posts in your feed. It’s a great way to discover and keep up with writers you enjoy.

Every post is automatically categorized by topic (e.g., Travel, Music, or Software) based on its content. Topics help readers find your posts in the discovery feed. You don’t need to add tags or worry about using keywords… Just write and publish whatever your heart desires.

Yes. You’re free to link, promote, or sell however you choose.

tid is Seb’s passion project. No investors to please. No exit strategy. It’ll be around for as long as people want to write.

tid is built by Seb Fontan, an indie founder, and owned by Bitzag, his software company. It’s fully bootstrapped and made with 🧡 in Kentucky.

We launched in February 2026. The idea had existed for years under different names, but became tid as development resumed in late 2025.
